Ingredients
Bread
- 12 slices of bread
Chicken Mixture
- 35ml olive oil
- 450g chicken thighs
- 2g cayenne pepper powder (⅔ teaspoon)
- 2g cumin powder (⅔ teaspoon)
- 3g garlic powder (1 teaspoon)
- 2g paprika powder (⅔ teaspoon)
- 1g Italian seasoning
- 1 chicken stock cube
- 150g yellow onion (1 yellow onion)
- 75g red bell pepper (half a red bell pepper)
- 75g green bell pepper (half a green bell pepper)
- 50g green olives
- 80g cheese
Extras
- Mayonnaise
- Algerienne sauce
- Cheddar cheese
Topping
- Cream cheese (in a tub)
- Grated cheese
- Tomato
Instructions
Chicken Mixture
- Wash the chicken thighs and cut into pieces.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken, cayenne pepper powder, cumin powder, garlic powder, paprika powder, and Italian seasoning. Crumble the chicken stock cube over the pan.
- Mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Add the yellow onion, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, and green olives. Cook for another 4-5 minutes.
- Add the cheese and mix well.
Assembling the Bread
- Spread the slices of bread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread a layer of mayonnaise on the bread slices.
- Distribute the chicken mixture on top.
- Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each, followed by the Algerienne sauce.
- Cover with another slice of bread.
- Top the bread with a layer of cream cheese, grated cheese, and slices of tomato.
- Place in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F).
- Bake for 10 minutes, or until the bread is nicely golden brown.
Serving
- Remove from oven and serve hot.
Tips
- Replace the chicken thighs with chicken breast.
- Recipe yields 6 rolls. Adjust baking time to 25 minutes if necessary.
